Only ever bet on the favorite when all of the following conditions are met: 

1. The favorite has the home-court advantage.
2. The favorite won both of its last two games by 5 points or more.
3. The underdog lost their last two games.

Here the underdogs have failed to bounce back at least once already, while the favorites will be looking to extend their winning run even further.

The Underdog System

Those of you who like to bet the spread and aren't scared of side with underdogs might find this system useful. The rules are presented below.

Bet on the underdog when all of the following conditions are met:

1. The underdog has the home-court advantage.
2. The underdog won their last game or lost by less than five points.
3. The favorite lost both of its last games or won just one of them.
4. The favorite's last winning game was won by five points or less.

Here the underdogs look like they could spring a mild upset, as the favorites aren't unbeatable by any means and they don't have home-court advantage.
